Well, it appears that someone hijacked our predicted typical mild Florida Winter day, and substituted some outrageous Icelandic scenario. Can you say "cold and windy?" I'm sure it was in the mid 40's with gale force winds. Numb fingers, and wind blown bodies made for some interesting results. I know an icy tornado came through on some of my shots, causing me to miss one or two critical shots. Well, maybe closer to 20 shots.
A nice, big post match serving of Humble pie was "enjoyed" by all except Mr. Fred "wind meister" Poole, and his magic TX. We precharged shooters were entitled to second helpings, after being whipped by a piston gun. I had whipped cream on mine. Yum, yum.
In spite of the weather, we managed to lure 6 stalwart airgunners out of their cozy abodes to challenge the elements in our annual odd ball 60 shot FT match. I say odd ball, because due to space limitations, only 20 targets were employed requiring 3 shots per target to reach our 60 shot total.
Congratulations to Freddie on his OVERALL win, beating out 4 precharged rigs.
Oh yes, the Troyer for the match with the wind factor was a puckering 39.9, and that is being very generous. There were only 2 targets under 30, (both standing) and the 3/4" Groundhog at 45 yards jumped up as a daunting 75. OUCH.....................
