Match Results 12-12-2010
This was our final match for 2010, and Dick Otten single-handedly set up a challenging course. We had a good turnout of 9 shooters. The morning started off with great weather, clear and calm despite a forecast for clouds and chances of rain. Soon after the pre-match sight-in, breezes began to blow. Winds quickly grew from brisk to bluster to gale force. At times it was difficult to keep from being pushed off the bum bag. Jim Baumann still managed to shoot 26 out of 30 (precharge) and Cliff Smith shot a very respectable 24 of 30 with his TX.
Under a darkening sky we completed the 30 shot field target match, took down the course and set up the silhouettes for the second part of our airgunning Sunday. We managed to get a few practice shots when dark storm clouds came rolling in. Everyone quickly gathered the silhouettes and stands and beat the torrential downpour by about 10 minutes. Since we missed out on the pistol silhouette shoot this time, we have adjusted our match schedule to include a 20 shot air pistol silhouette competition after a 30 shot FT Match on January 9, 2011.
