<body topmargin=0 leftmargin=0 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0> <table cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0><tr> <td valign="top" colspan=2 height=80 BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT="#F7F7FF" bgproperties="fixed" background="03c00500dvldtc.png"> <div> <FONT SIZE="5" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><B>DeSoto Airgunners</B></FONT><B>     |     </B><A HREF="index.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="DeSoto Airgunners"><U><B>home</B></U></A></div> <div> back to                                                     </div> <div> </div> </td> </tr><tr> <td valign="top" width=210 BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT="#F7F7FF" background="03dd2c00dvldtc.png"> <div>                                                   </div> <bR> </td> <td valign="top" height=400 BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT="#F7F7FF"> <div> <B><U>GOLF SCORED  FIELD TARGET</U></B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B> In southwest Florida, DeSoto Airgunners Club has combined the fun and frustration of golf with the challenges of field target shooting in our Golf Scored Field Target Match.    The course is set like a regular FT match with the metal Field Targets placed on multiple lanes at random distances.  ( NOTE:  </B><B><U>NEVER</U></B><B> shoot a pellet at real golf balls,  </B><I><B>never</B></I><B>.  )</B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>SCORING: </B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> Like traditional Golf this version of Field Target can be fun and frustrating.</div> <bR> <div> Consider each target on the lane  as a  Hole,  and each  shot is a Stroke.   Missed shots add strokes,  And like regular golf, fewest number of strokes wins the match.</div> <bR> <div> Here Are A Few Twists:</div> <bR> <div> SCORING:  It's possible to score better than a hole in one,  ZERO Stroke scores are possible on every hole.  Here is how: </div> <bR> <div> Game Play:  </div> <div> Shot Scenarios:</div> <bR> <div> <B>TARGET 1:</B></div> <div> <B>SHOT 1 :  [miss]  </B>   ----  Shoot again at that same target.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>SHOT 2:  [hit ]</B>    -  Score  2 Strokes for that target.  -     Move on to NEXT target. </div> <div>    OR</div> <div> <B>SHOT 2  [MISS] </B>-  If you miss that target on your 2nd attempt as well,  automatically Score 3 Strokes for that hole.    Move on to next target.</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>TARGET 1:</B></div> <div> <B>SHOT 1 :  [HIT]  .  You could score that as a hole in one stroke  OR try an Option Shot ( A  2nd  shot at same target)</B></div> <bR> <div> …..................................................................</div> <div> SECOND  SHOT OPTIONS:  Risks  &  Rewards</div> <div> If you're successful hitting a target on your <U>first shot,</U>  you'll have an option to possibly lower your score to a ZERO for that target.   Something to consider before your next trigger pull.</div> <bR> <div> <B>SHOT  1: [HIT]</B></div> <div> You may score  this as 1 Stroke; (A hole in one) and move on to next target or Announce you are  taking the Risk OPTION shot on that same target .<B>  </B>   </div> <bR> <div> You may <I>only </I>take this option shot  after making a <I>kill on your first shot</I> at that target - </div> <div> The Option  Shot is basically a second shot at the target you just downed .</div> <bR> <div> Option Shot <B> [HIT]:</B>   If successful downing that target  with your optioned  2nd   shot,  score  <B>ZERO </B> <B>Strokes</B> on that (target) hole and happily move on to the next target.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Option Shot <B> [ MISS] </B>  Missing the option shot results in a penalty.  If you  miss the optioned  2nd shot you will be scored  <B>3 strokes on that target!</B>  A costly  miss.  –   Move on (not so happily) to next target.</div> <bR> <div> Watch how your score on that "hole"  just bloomed from (what could have been) 1 stroke  to  3 strokes  on that hole.  What was a Hole In One  is now a   3-Stroke score.</div> <bR> <div> Now you see how the  risk – reward  option shots can be a big part of the game.</div> <bR> <div> …................................................................</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>STROKE REDUCER:</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>One More Twist:  A  3-zone Stroke Eliminator Target.</B></div> <bR> <div> Each competitor gets  One Shot  at this unique 3 face target with progressively smaller killzones.   They correspond to progressively larger stroke count  reductions. </div> <bR> <div> Hitting the smallest target will cause all three faceplates to fall, and 3 strokes are DEDUCTED from that shooters total score.</div> <bR> <div> Striking the mid size target flattens 2 faceplates and earns a 2 stroke reduction.</div> <bR> <div> The largest hole is a single faceplate drop and scores a one stroke deduction for the shooter.</div> <bR> <div> Missed?
