Match Results May 11 2014
Today's event was billed as the final match before our traditional Summer Shutdown. It simply gets too hot and humid to really enjoy a day on the lanes in Southwest Florida. Don't fret, that won't stop some other stalwart Floridians from holding a Field Target event somewhere nearby.
As for today, we set the course in the early AM. During most of the match a relatively overcast sky limited the temps till noon when the heat and humidity both bounced up near 91. The match consisted of 44 shots across 7 lanes . While our lane 7 usually features some forced position shots, we simply opted to put out 4 targets on lane 7 to shoot however you liked.
Today was "Mother's Day" and I think that kept a few shooters busy.. We had a group of 5 competitive participants. No one came very close to cleaning the course. The two precharge shooters tied; Neil is getting very serious (and accurate) with his WFT TX. . For only his second time out Herb shot well and was the Most Improved shooter. Snowbird Bill L. was a scary fast learner with his new Daystate MK4. While no formal Troyer Factor was calculated for today's event, I would have to estimate the Fun Factor at a 90 +. See you in the Fall ( or sooner).
