April 12, 2015 Club Match Results
We had a turnout of 9 competitors on Sunday.. The snowbirds are returning north and we locals need to get re-aclimated to the heat and humidity of Southwest Florida. The day started cool enough but temps quickly rose with the bright Sun eventually climbing to the high eighties with heat index near 95 by the end of the match. Thanks to all who remained to take down the course and help properly store all our toys. A special shout-out here to Paul Stakun who helped set out the course on Saturday which was another toasty afternoon. Also special kudos to Donovan Taylor and Emilio Mazzuco who made the trek across the state from Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. We appreciate your presence and enthusiasm for the sport!
Today's 50 shot match followed our usual configuration; 3 targets per lane with Lane 7 being designated an offhand lane, and Lane 8 had 4 targets. The course featured a good mix of difficulties making it rewarding for the newer or more casual shooters and still pretty challenging for the seasoned players. No one cleaned the course.
