 Bench Rest Club Match</div> <bR> <div> T<FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" >urnout was a little thin at the range today; it was Mothers-day, and our snowbird shooters continue to head north.    Actually the turnout of eight  'Airgunners was a perfect number matching the eight concrete shooting benches.    Today's 3 card 75 shot bench rest match followed USARB guidelines and was completed in a single relay.  Conditions were comfortable: warm 85 degrees at 8:00AM;  humid  88 degrees at noon.   Winds were pretty steady  around  8 to 12 mph and  a few 18 MPH puffs made things more interesting.  The morning was mostly overcast.</FONT></div> <bR> <div>      We were joined by a new-to-airguns shooter Steve K who came to watch and learn .   Jerry M.  brought out  his back-up Steyr and was happy to let Steve shoot it.   Here's where circumstance hits.   Just as our event was to begin, Jerry's own Thomas rifle failed ( a torn O-ring ).   No spares;  it was out.   Steve didn't hesitate to return Jerry's Steyr.  Jerry magnanimously let Steve shoot the match with his backup Steyr while Jerry shot some photos and helped guide the event.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> The Star Shooter of the day,  <B>Top Gun </B> was Linda McGee.   Linda not only had the highest score, she was the only shooter to break 700 points today.   Linda also racked up an impressive 21 Bulls shooting her newest Thomas rifle.  <B> Way To Go Linda !</B></div> <bR> <div>  </div> <div> Dark clouds gathered at  the conclusion of our shoot bringing a surprise down-pour and strong wind gusts lasting only about  ten minutes.  Just as quickly it cleared.  Sun came out.  Then it was put away the toys and grab some lunch.</div> <bR> <bR> <div>  </div> <div> SCORES:       All shooting .177 pellets.
