Match 10-11-2020
While the calendar said mid October, the weather felt more like August. Sultry and humid; a dewpoint of 78 with scattered clouds. Winds were calm, under 4 mph for most of the match.
Forecast included a chance of rain in the afternoon so we called for an earlier start. After set-up, sight-in and safety meeting, the match got underway at 9:00AM. We had a total of 7 competitors for this 7 lane 42 shot club event. Lane 5 and 6 were designated kneeling and off-hand shooting positions respectively.
Billed as a Club Match most shooters followed AAFTA Hunter regulations. Others tried our own F.U.N. Division (Freestyle Unlimited No-rules) Field Target variance.
Most of the shooters finished the course just as the sky opened. Fortunately the rain lasted only about 10 minutes; but enough to soak a few before completing their last lane and getting under cover. (A drowning man won't get any wetter)
Steve G. was our high scoring Top Gun with a score of 36.
Thanks to all who helped with the course set-up and paper work. A Special shout-out to John L for directing today's event. Thanks also to Linda M for the pics too.
