After what felt like an 'endless summer'  we were given a welcome reprieve today.  Conditions were comfortable, barely a sweat broken.  Winds ranged from 5 to 10mph as the 3-Target Card relay progressed.   Puffy conditions kept the windicators busy.   </FONT></div> <bR> <div> This was our 10th year hosting air rifle benchrest events.   The 2025 Summer Swelter Series turned out  to be one for the books.  Literally.    Airgunner Chip W. scored his way to a national record in July with <U>3</U> perfect Target Cards (750 points, and 41X's)  now officially recognized and posted by U.S.A.R.B.    A  write-up can be found <FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#00BFBF" FACE="Arial" ><A HREF="id354.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Benchrest 71325"><U>here</U></A></FONT></div> <bR> <div> The 2025 benchrest series included several (dare I say elite)  Airgunners that have scored one or even two perfect Target Cards within  this season.  The  competition has been keen.  For example: In todays match just 2 points separated second through fifth place finish.  Final standings were determined by count of a single bullseye.  </div> <bR> <div> Once again Chip  W. was easily our Top Gun scoring 748 points.   Even more impressive, Chip nailed  47X's along the way.   That accuracy translates to a bullseye rate of  <B>63%</B> of his shots today!   Awesome Marksmanship.</div> <bR> <div> Special Thanks:  To those crack-of-dawn (and earlier) volunteers including Dennis, Chip & Scott for efforts from weed-wacking to setting out target stands,  scoring, and assistance safely guiding our airgun events.  And
