(<FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Maybe if only airguns were permitted there would be less of a problem?)</I></FONT>    When the safety meeting broke up, several folks came over to watch and ask about the sport of  air rifle field target shooting.  Maybe some of those "firearms"  shooters may give  our sport a try someday.</div> <bR> <div> It was a great day for shooting; low humidity (for Florida) and temps hovering below 80 (at least till noon).  There was a tricky wind that seemed to swirl from different directions making even "simple" shots a little more challenging than the Troyer Factor of 29 might suggest.   Gordon was suffering a bad back and could not compete in the FT shoot.  He did however make an attempt on the silhouettes with his pistol.  <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#CCCC66" FACE="Arial" > </FONT></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>    <IMG SRC="13c47340.gif" border=0 width="71" height="52" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">       <IMG SRC="13d47340.gif" border=0 width="71" height="52" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">       <IMG SRC="13e47340.gif" border=0 width="71" height="52" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">       <IMG SRC="13f47340.gif" border=0 width="71" height="52" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></B></div> <div> After the FT shoot we  held our "casual"  20 shot airpistol silhouette match .  The firing line was located under the cool shade of a huge Oak tree so it was quite comfortable to shoot into the afternoon.  Fred, Aubrey, Ed, and Joe shot pretty well considering they used (borrowed) unfamiliar equipment in the silhouette match.  Dick who is normally a good pistol shooter threw in the towel when his rig broke down.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>Air Pistol Silhouette Results:</B></div> <div> 1st Cliff Smith - 10/20  (determined by shoot-off)</div> <div> 2nd Ron Zeman - 10/20</div> <div> 3rd  Aubrey Miley 8/20 </div> <div> 4th   Fred Poole - 7/20 </div> <div> 5th Gordon Hodson  4/20</div> <div> 6th Ed Escue  4/20</div> <div> 7th Joe Tucker  2/20  (Jr. Shooter)</div> <div> Dick Otten  - DNF  (gun troubles) </div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
